As a Limited Licensed Clinical Therapist, Kim Waters, MS, LLP offers confidential psychological consultations and treatment services to children, adolescents, adults and families.
My philosophy is to look closely at individual strengths and weaknesses and to work closely with the client and their family members to improve functioning beyond labels or diagnoses. The focus of therapy is on strategies to improve quality of life, not labeling problems.
Kim specializes in the social emotional needs of gifted individuals recognizing that being gifted can present challenges for both the individual and the people that love and support them. She also understands that learning differences impact the development of all individuals whether their differences result in the need for special education or gifted programming.
Kim's unique background not only includes training and experience working with individuals on their psychological needs, but also includes a strong background in Sensory Processing Disorder and how an individual's mental health is a combination of one's psychological and neuro-developmental make-up.
